We can all agree that Craps is a funny name, however craps remains one of major games of online casinos’ business. Craps, like online slots, online black jack, online roulette and others easily managed the transition from brick and mortar gambling into the online gambling world.

Craps is believed to date to the Crusades, later being influenced by French gamblers. What was to become the modern American version of the game was brought to New Orleans by Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville, scion of wealthy Louisiana landowners and a gambler and politician. The game, first known as crapaud (a French word meaning “toad”) reportedly owes its modern popularity from its being spread through the African-American community.
If you are a craps fan, then you should certainly explore www.casinofortune.com and the craps game that is right for you. There is also a wealth of information on Casino Fortune’s website about playing online craps.

Holiday shopping making you crazy? Why not take a break and try an exciting game of craps online. Never played before? Never fear - Casino Fortune makes it easy for you to throw the dice at a very nice price - absolutely free! Just download the free PlayTech player at www.casinofortune.com and start rolling for fun - and keep your money in your wallet. (Of course, you also have the option of playing to win extra holiday spending cash when you’re ready!) Here are a few tips to get you started:
- To play Craps, you throw two dice, where the first total throw of both dice equalling 7 or 11 wins (these combos are also called “Naturals”)
- A first throw total of 2, 3 or 12 loses the bet
- If the first throw is anything other than the totals above, that number becomes the “Point” and the Point Number must be thrown before a 7 is thrown in order to win
- If a 7 is thrown before the Point Number is thrown, the player loses the bet (Crapped Out) and the dice must be passed to the next player that places a bet on the “Pass Line”
- The Pass Line area is the most popular betting area on the Craps table. A Pass Line bet can only be made on the come out roll (before a Point is established)
- Odds or “Free Odds” betting is the best way to reduce the House Advantage
- You take odds after a Point is established by clicking on your Pass or Come Bet. The applet knows you want full odds (depending on the odds option you selected) and will subtract the appropriate amount from your bankroll and put it just below your Pass Line Bet.
- The free-odds paid on the point numbers are:
- If point is 4 or 10: Payoff on odds bet is 2 to 1
- If point is 5 or 9: Payoff on odds bet is 3 to 2
- If point is 6 or 8: Payoff on odds bet is 6 to 5
Without free odds the house has approximately 1.4% advantage on all Pass Line or Come Bets. With double odds this advantage is reduced to 0.6%. Making this the best bet on the table (except for Don’t Pass/Come Bets which when double odds are “laid” here the house advantage is also 0.6%).
The reason the house advantage drops when taking double odds is because the house has no advantage on these bets they are paid at the correct odds as shown above.
- Buying the Odds:
Once a Point has been thrown you may bet up to 2 times your Pass Line bet on the ‘odds.’ The odds are simply an additional wager that the Point will be rolled before a 7. Because the probability of the Point being rolled first is less than 50% you win more than you bet if it happens. Specifically if the Point is a 6 or 8 the odds pay 6:5, if the Point is a 5 or 9 the odds pay 3:2, and if the Point is a 4 or 10 the odds pay 2:1.
- Don’t Pass:
The Don’t Pass is almost the opposite of the Pass Line bet. If the Come out roll is a 2 or 3 then you win, a 7 or 11 you lose. A 12 is a push. Otherwise the dice are rolled over and over until either the Point or a 7 is rolled. If the 7 comes before the Point you win.A person betting on the Don’t Pass is not the wager of choice by many Players, since this bet is betting against the shooter. This is also called a “wrong” bettor and is usually winning when everyone else is losing, and vice versa.
These are just a few of the different ways you can bet on Craps. Learn more at www.casinofortune.com and get ready to roll!

Go to jail for playing casino games online? A Major national newspaper in Massachusetts The Boston Globe reported a in November that lawmakers in The Bay State are so disturbed by the concept of online casinos and online gambling that they have put forth an effort to punish “offenders” severely – and the state Governor, Deval Patrick, supports the measure. Licensed brick and mortar gambling is legal in Massachusetts, and, ironically enough, the same bill that would make online casino gambling a jailable offense also contains approval for the construction of three new land casinos in the state.
Obviously, the owners and operators of some of the biggest online casinos around are up in arms about Massachusetts’ hypocrisy. Gambling expert David G. Schwartz, who holds the title of director of the Center for Gaming Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, told a Globe reporter that it was fairly obvious that lawmakers were trying to arrange a monopoly for “their” casinos, off which the government draws sizeable tax revenues. Online gambling at internet casinos yield the state nothing, so it’s not exactly “cynical” (as Schwartz sarcastically termed it) to get to the conclusion that money was really at the root of the legislators’ move against online casinos.

Unlike the rest of the world, where slots and poker seem to dominate the gaming market, we have heard that in Macau, Baccarat is the most popular casino game. While this might seem curious to the outsider, Baccarat is a sociable and entertaining gambling experience with a relatively low Casinos edge.
On the internet, Baccarat is plenty more accessible to the average bankroll. However, it is not nearly as popular as other online casino games. Nobody knows this better than the software developers from which we hear say that there is a good chance that online baccarat will grow in popularity.

The holidays are in full swing and you’re feeling festive - maybe a Casino Night party is in order for a “party of one” in your own home! Put on those red satin pajamas you’ve been dying to wear, pour yourself an ice cold peppermint schapps martini and slip on your furry slippers. Now, simply download our free Playtech player and you’re ready for an exciting, glamorous game of roulette.

Never played the game? No worries - here are the basic tenets of the game:
- Roulette consists of a wheel with 38 numbered slots, numbered 1 to 36, 0 and 00.
- Players place bets on the layout with numbered red and black spaces that correspond to the numbers on the wheel as well as spaces for odd and even numbers
- The order of play begins when the croupier (dealer) rolls a small ball along a track into the roulette wheel
- You may place bets even after the ball has been begun to roll around the track of the wheel; however you should make your bets before the ball drops from the outside track into the center of the wheel
- The croupier will say “no more bets” when it is time to stop placing bets on numbers or colors
- Once the ball comes to rest, the croupier will call out the winning numbers and colors
- Bets can include a single number (straight up bet), two numbers (split bet), three numbers (street bet), corner bet (chip placed at intersection of four numbers), five number bet and six number bet (line bet)
