Crystallize Your Strategy for Playing Baccarat

September 28th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

Baccarat can seem like an intimidating game, but it’s really not at all. In fact, if you take some time getting familiar with the rules, you’ll find it to be easy and fun. Once you have a clear and through understanding and knowledge of the game rules of Baccarat to be aware of any mistakes by any player or dealer in a game. You may even want to try playing one of the free Online Baccarat games to get the hang of it before placing real bets in a land casino.

Understanding the rules of the games and the values of the cards also helps you to determine winning combinations of cards. For a detailed study, one can also calculate the chances of winning for a specific numbered card or face card.
You should also know that there are only 3 bets you can make in a game of Online Baccarat. You can bet that the banker will win the hand, you can bet that you’ll win the hand, or you can bet that the two hands will tie. Statistics have shown that the banker’s hand has a slight edge as far as winning a bit more often than the player’s hand, so you should bet on the banker’s hand more often than either of the other two bets.

Finally, another Baccarat strategy to remember is that you should never, unless you are extremely wealthy, place a tie bet, except in very rare instances. Ties are very rare in Baccarat, which is why the odds are typically 9:1 and it’s best to avoid that wager altogether.

September 26th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

If you’ve ever tried the online slots, you know it can be a very fruitful experience if you stick with it. Online slots are essentially the same as the slots you see in land casinos. You play them the same (just click the “spin” button) and the random number generator in the software that decides the payout lines runs exactly the same. Even the artwork, such as the famous cherries, lemons and dollar signs are the same.

Play Video Slots at Casino Fortune

However, there are important differences - such as bonuses offered by the online casino to entice you to play and stick with a long-term strategy. Online slots are also “looser” than live slots with a lower house edge. In fact, you can win 4-6% more payback than playing in land casinos.

With online casinos, the variety of slots is greater and the lines are non-existent! Recently, there have been lots of big winners at Casino Fortune that played slots games such as Treasures of Atlantic Slots and Crown Jewels Slots. One new player walked away with more than $12,000! Luck Be A Lady - How to Increase Your Odds At Blackjack

September 23rd, 2007 by Casino Fortune

They call you Lady Luck…but there is room for doubt…at times you have a very unlady like way of running out…

Frank Sinatra knew a thing or two about Lady Luck and was famous for being a regular on The Strip back in the heydays of the Rat Pack. Just like his timeless lyrics and beloved songs, Blackjack remains one of the best loved games on land or online. So, how can you get Lady Luck to shine on you when you’re playing Blackjack online? Try counting cards and she might just stay by your side. In fact, counting cards is a common practice among the world’s best Blackjack players.

Blackjack

Blackjack card counting is a system that evaluates cards on the table to estimate which cards are left in the deck, and consequently helps the player determine whether the deck is favorable or unfavorable. It is nearly impossible for an average person to remember which cards were on the table in past rounds, so card counting schemes implement a score-based measure. The score in a Blackjack card counting system reflects the situation in the deck.

The high/low card counting system is the most popular and basic method of counting cards. It is also a very effective strategy for beginning Blackjack players.

All cards are:

  • -1 : face cards, Ace. There are 20 of these in a deck.
  • 0 : 7, 8, 9. There are 12 of these in a deck.
  • 1 : 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. There are 16 of these in a deck.

Each card has its own value, with Aces and 10 point cards holding a value of -1. Cards 7, 8 and 9 are assigned a point value of 0, while 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 count as +1.

As each card is dealt, the player keeps a running count of the cards that have been shown, and he or she makes the betting decision based on the current total. The higher the plus count is, the greater the advantage to the player.

A high plus count means that there is a higher percentage of high value cards remaining in the deck, and this is an indication for the player to increase his or her wager. If the running count remains around zero, it means that the deck is neutral, with neither the player nor the house holding a distinct advantage. If the minus count is high, the advantage belongs to the dealer, and this is an indication to bet only the minimum wager, or to leave the table altogether.

This method takes lots of practice, and the dealer is fast - so the Hi Lo method requires a good memory! Ready to try lure Lady Luck over a game of Blackjack online? Craps - Don’t Pass Up This Action!

September 17th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

Craps is one of the most exciting games around, and can be one of the best odds games to play if you know which bets to avoid. There are many types of bets you can place in craps: Some players win (or lose) on a single roll, while other players hit the jackpot after after a series of rolls.

Online Craps at Casino Fortune

Here are the most basic bets you can make in a game of craps, as well as their payoffs:

Pass Line - these bets win on a come out roll of 7 or 11 and lose on a come out roll of 2, 3, or 12. If a number other than these appears, it becomes the point. Pass Line bets win if the shooter’s next roll produces the point before 7, and lose if a 7 comes up before the point. Payoff is 1 to 1.

Don’t Pass Line - the opposite of a Pass Line bet. Don’t Pass Line bets win if the come out roll is 2 or 3, and lose if the come out roll is 7 or 11. If the come out roll is 12, the bet becomes a “push” and the player gets his money back. If a number other than 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 appears, it becomes the point. Don’t Pass Line bets win if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point, and lose if the opposite happens. It is important to know that Don’t Pass Line bets can be removed or reduced while the shooter is rolling for the second time. Payoff is 1 to 1.

Come Bets - Come bets are nearly the same as Pass Line bets. They could be considered as Pass Line bets happening once again in the same round of craps. Players place Come Bets after the point has been established by a come out roll. As with Pass Line bets, Come Bets win if the shooter’s next roll is 7 or 11, and they lose if the shooter’s next roll is 2, 3, or 12. If the shooter’s roll is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, that number becomes the “come point.” Come Bets win if the shooter rolls the come point before a 7, and lose if the opposite occurs. Come Bets cannot be changed or removed. Payoff is 1 to 1.

Don’t Come Bets - As you might imagine, Don’t Come Bets are almost the same as Don’t Pass Line bets. Players place these bets after the initial come out roll. Once the point has been established, Don’t Come Bets win if the shooter’s next roll is 2 or 3, lose if the roll is 7 or 11, and push if the roll produces 12. If the roll produces 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, that number becomes the come point. Don’t Come Bets win if the shooter’s next roll produces a 7 before the come point, and lose if the opposite happens. Don’t Come Bets, like Don’t Pass Line bets, can be changed or removed after being placed. Payoff is 1 to 1.

7 Roulette Tips and Tricks

September 14th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

We have posted 7 of the most popular tips and tricks to use when playing online Roulette. These online Roulette tips and tricks will help you get the most enjoyment out of playing online Roulette and should increase your changes of winning.

  1. Try to win more money with fewer spins.
  2. Statistically speaking, previous outcomes are no indication of future outcomes. Each and every spin holds the exact same probability (odds) for an outcome. However, if you’re one to believe that previous outcomes indicate probable future outcomes, bet with the flow, otherwise known as streaks. Just remember that over the long haul, probability rules.
  3. When you hit a losing streak, exchange your chips for a smaller denomination, preferably $1. Then, play a few spins in the following manner: pick a number in the middle column, and paint the corners of the number. For example, you could select the black 29. Place a chip on each corner surrounding the 29. Then place a chip between the 0 and 00. You’ve bet five chips and covered eleven numbers. This gives you time to ‘take five,’ a quick breather without spending much money.
  4. The Five Numbers bet doesn’t really make sense.
  5. Do you play single zero or double zero roulette? Player odds are significantly better at the single zero wheels.
  6. The surrender rule gives players slightly better overall odds. Find a game that offers the surrender rule.
  7. We all have hot and cold days. If you’re having a lucky day, that luck will probably extend to the online roulette. Conversely, if you’re having an off day in general, expect the lack of luck to rear its head at the roulette table. It goes without saying that mental attitude is important when playing your favorite online game at www.casinofortune.com.

By far the most popular systems are:

The D’Alembert System - The D’Alembert requires that you begin betting with one unit. Each successive time you lose, you replace the bet with one extra unit. Each time you win, you place the next bet with one unit less. By way of examples; If by virtue of losing you had worked your way up to a bet with four units, and you lost again, you would place your next bet with five units; If on a bet of four units you won, you would place your next bet with three units. If you won on three more successive spins, you would be down to zero units, at which point you could either start over with one unit or, as many experienced players might recommend, you could leave with your winnings.

The Martingale System - This system requires that you double your bet each time you lose. If on your first bet you wager $1, your second wager should be $2 and the third wager $4. This system is counter-indicated for even money bets which could be swept away by a losing ‘En Prison’ situation, as well as in casinos with low maximum bets.

7 Blackjack Tips and Tricks

September 13th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

There are lots of online Blackjack tips surrounding the game. Hitting, standing, or splitting certain hands can give you a great chance of winning. Our Casino Fortune blog will continue to provide player tips and strategies to improve your play. Here we point out the 7 most important Blackjack tips and tricks you should know.

  1. A Soft hand incorporates an Ace card. This is because an Ace can be a 1 or 11, making the hand ‘Soft’.
  2. Hit on a hand of 16 or less because there is little to no chance that you will bust.
  3. It is probably worthwhile Hitting if you have a soft 17. This is because your hand can also be considered to be a 6, and there is no chance of Busting.
  4. If you have a Hard 17, look at the dealer’s card before deciding whether to Hit or Stand. Is it possible that the dealer will end up with a better hand than yours?  Hit if the dealer has an 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, or A. Otherwise stand and hope that the dealer will bust.
  5. Soft 18 is also complicated and should be based on the casino dealers showing card. If the dealer has a 9, 10, J, Q, K, or A then you should hit, otherwise it would be best to stand.
  6. Stand if you have a Hard 18.
  7. Always stand if you have a hard 19 or 20. These are very good hands.

Casino Baccarat - Not just for the rich and famous

September 12th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

Some may think that the game of Casino Baccarat is an “elite” game for the rich and famous played behind velvet ropes. You may be surprised to know that Casino Baccarat can actually be one of the easiest games to play and win. With a low house edge, you ultimately have the chance to win more frequently than other games. In other words, you don’t have to be rich to win at casino Baccarat, but you may surely become rich in doing so!

Baccarat is an easy and straightforward game. The object of Baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. Aces count as 1, 2 through 9 are face value and tens and picture cards count as zero. Unlike other games which rely upon strategic acumen, you only need a clear understanding of the game’s rules to play and win at Baccarat. However, there are tips to increase your chances of winning. For example, there are normally eight decks of cards in a game of Baccarat. You have a better chance of winning through the banker’s hand if there are fewer card decks. Banker’s and player’s hand, and tie are the three options for betting. However, a tie in Baccarat is very rare. You can get back your initial amount in the event of a tie, but only if no other player bets on a tie. If you do win on a tie, your payout is not that high considering a high percentage (as much as 14%) of earnings bank commission. However, casinos also charge taxes of 5% of the winnings on banker’s hand. Even after that, you still gain an advantage of 0.19% for betting on the player’s hand. Hence, betting on banker’s hand is the judicious choice for most Baccarat players.

Could you be the next “average Joe” to join the ranks of the rich and famous by playing Casino Baccarat? Check out www.casinofortune.com for all your favorite games, including Baccarat. Video Poker - A Game of Strategy

September 8th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

Video poker is arguably one of the most fun and strategic online games available today. Some call video poker “the thinking man’s slot machine game,” however it is really a combination of traditional poker and slot machines. Both slot machines and video poker have progressive jackpot versions to play; however, video poker and slots are very different. Unlike slot machines which offer no decision-making opportunities, video poker offers opportunities to make decisions that affect the payback percentage of the game. The payback percentage on video poker is almost always higher than any slot machine, and in some cases can yield a positive expectation over the long-term.

So how is video poker unlike traditional poker? For starters, you can’t bluff in video poker. You also don’t have to worry about “reading” other players or beating another player’s hand. Instead, you’re trying to hit a certain payout based on having the best possible hand on the payout chart.

At Casino Fortune, many players are seeing big payouts while playing video poker. Just this month, one player walked away with $9000! Ready to put your thinking cap on and test your skill at a game of video poker? Here’s a thought, check out www.casinofortune.com for the best online games available in a secure environment with 24/7 customer service and fast payouts. It’s a no brainer!

Roulette Online - Ooh La La!

September 5th, 2007 by Casino Fortune

Since the 17th century, roulette has been synonymous with romance and glamour. The first form of roulette was devised by mathematician Blaise Pascal and later in 1842, fellow Frenchmen  Francois and Louis Blanc added the “0″ to the roulette wheel in order to increase house odds. Roulette arrived in the U.S. in the early 1800s, and again in order to increase house odds, a second zero “00″ was introduced.

During this time, roulette spread throughout Europe and became one of the most famous and popular casino games. Some call roulette the “King of Casino Games” because it was associated with the glamourous casinos of Monte Carlo, where Francois Blanc established the first casinos.

There are two types of roulette, depending on if you play in Europe or in the U.S. The difference between European roulette and American roulette is between the number of 0s on the wheel. American roulette wheels have a zero (0) and double zeros (00) on the wheel, which increases the house advantage to 5.4%. In European roulette, there is only one zero, giving the house an advantage of 2.7%.

Online roulette has become a very popular game among online players and is a mainstay at Casino Fortune. Players can place wagers on individual numbers, groups of numbers, red/black or odd/even. If a player bets on a single number and wins, the payout is 35-1.

Want to give the online roulette a whirl? Visit www.casinofortune.com for all your favorite casino games, a welcome bonus, hourly promotions and 24/7 customer support in a secure gaming environment. You may be the next big winner, ooh la la!
