That’s How We Roll…Celebrity Poker Ever wonder how the bad boys of Hollywood kill time in between shooting blockbuster movies and attending the latest tinseltown premiere? Playing to win at the casinos, natch. Take Academy Award winner Matt Damon, for instance (and ladies, who wouldn’t?). Before he was cashing in on his role as a master assassin in the Bourne Identity series, Matt played a master poker player in Rounders back in 1998. During the filming of the movie, which also featured Edward Norton, these amigos were coached by world class poker player Johnny Chan in Atlantic City for three months. Chan, known as “The Orient Express,” was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2002 and won his 10th World Series of Poker Tournament in 2005 playing Texas Hold ‘Em.
During an interview with AskMen.com, Chan was said to be the “Master of the Tell” and asked to describe a tell that most people don’t recognize. Chan explained that “betting motion is very important. Some players, when they have good hands, they bet very slow, counting their chips, taking their time. When they’re bluffing, they just shove it in real quick. Those are the things to think about in a poker game.”
